SpaceX-Starship|Travel Beyond The Earth
Starship

"This day heralds a new age of space exploration. We're gonna have a base on the moon, we're gonna send people to Mars and make the life multi-planetary."                                                                                                                    - By Elon Musk

SpaceX has big ambitions in a plan to achieve them with STARSHIP. Elon has greatest ambitions is to build a human colony on Mars, to ensure humanity on Mars in case something happens to the Earth. The Falcon-9 was a stepping stone as SpaceX frequently reused the parts of used rockets. Since all parts of the rocket could be reused, the cost of each lunch will decrease significantly. For example, a NASA space shuttle flight is around $ 450 million. SpaceX estimated the cost of launching a starship could be as little as $ 2 million which is quite low. Its mission is to achieve space tourism, earth-moon travel, Mars colonization, multi-planetary travel, and intercontinental travel.

The Starship's Description

It's hard to digest the size of Starship because the Falcon-1 buster used for successful lunch in 2008 looks tiny near the Starship. Starship is made up of two parts, the spacecraft which is at the top of a huge buster, called Superheavy. Together they are 121 feet high which is a bit longer than other spacecraft used and football ground and a diameter of approximately 9 meters. It has a capacity of carrying 100 people at a time while for earth to earth travel it will increase to a number 1000 and payload capacity of 150 metric tons which is equivalent to the weight of about 21 elephants. Fuel used will be liquid Oxygen and Methane, filled in huge engines. There are 43 rocket engines out of which 6 of the monster Raptor engines will be used in the spacecraft but most of the Power will become from 37 raptor engines in the buster.
After lifting the spacecraft into orbit, it separates into two parts, Super Heavy, and Spacecraft. Super heavy will return back to earth while Starship goes along its determined journey, which can be anything, journey to Moon, Mars, ISS, and etc.

The body material used is steel instead of carbon fiber to withstand higher temperatures which makes it cheaper. It is a fully reusable rocket, never had existed before. The data illustrated below is according to SpaceX :

Starship Earth To Earth Travel

If build a ship that is capable of going to Mars, what if you take the same ship to go from one place to another on Earth?
Besides space travel with starships, SpaceX wants to take people from one place to another on the earth making most long-distance travel in less than 30 mins around the world. Starship will travel about the speed of approximately 27,000km/h (16,777 MPH) which is quite larger than normal passenger planes (547 miles per hour). The Starship will fly above the earth's atmosphere instead of flying in the atmosphere like normal passenger planes. But that doesn't mean that your ride will be comfortable.

Since Starship is fully reusable, the price of the ticket will be less but that doesn't mean it will be cheap. We don't know yet exactly how much it will be but a CNBC reporter quoted SpaceX president and Ceo 'Shotwell' was saying at an event in 2019  that " it'll be cheaper than first-class tickets but a little more than economy." Shotwell also said previously that it will be less than a business class fair. So, it's still unclear what the price will be? It's unclear that SpaceX's earth-to-earth plan, but Musk that the test flight will start as early as 2022 or 2023 and eventually it will be real.

Starship is the stepping stone toward interplanetary travel and helps humankind for being interplanetary species. It helps to travel and explore the deep space that humans could not reach yet. It's all seems like a sci-fi movie but it's going to be real soon.
