You Are Already Dead! | Parallel Universe Explained

 PARALLEL UNIVERSE-EXPLAINED

Introduction

For centuries, we have believed that the Earth is the only planet where life is possible, but the progress made in science from the last few decades has changed our belief. Today's scientists believe that there can be many such planets in this everlasting Universe. Where life is flourishing, that's why our efforts to find planets like Earth are increasing day by day.
What if I say that in this Universe, we have not only the Earth but there are many replicas of the Earth itself, in which the same sea, same animal, and even your replicas are present? Yes, this is the principle of Parallel Universe Theory.
Alt. Reality

Parallel Universe is a topic everybody likes, as it is not only interesting but it provides them a chance to rectify their mistakes by going either back in time or finding a planet where their exact copy is still living the life which has become their past. Although this appears like fiction, it has been postulated on the basis of various experiments. The concept is also found in ancient Hindu mythology, in texts such as the Puranas, which expressed an infinite number of universes, each with its own gods. Similarly in Persian literature, "The Adventures of Bulukiya", a tale in the One Thousand and One Nights, describes the protagonist Bulukiya learning of alternative worlds/universes that are similar to but still distinct from his own.

History

In 1954, a research scientist named Hugh Everett from Princeton University gave the theory of the existence of a Parallel Universe(precisely equivalent to our Universe.). He believed that the universe, we live in is not the only universe. Many parallel universes exist like this universe. It all looks like a sci-fi movie, but why a research scientist would like to ruin his entire carrier by giving such a strange theory.
Let us know what he wanted to prove with this strange theory.

Actually, this all thing has started since 1900 when a famous scientist Max Plank told the world that the rules of this Universe are not working at the QUANTUM LEVEL as we think. QUANTUM LEVEL is the micro-level as far as scientists have reached in search of fundamental particles. In fact, when Max Plank put his QUANTUM MODEL in front of the world, everyone was surprised that how is it possible? How can a particle be found in two states (Wave and particle)? We know that superposition of two or more forms of a particle at the same time, where a particle can be in more than one state at a time. (To understand quantum physics properly, we will discuss it in another article. Today we'll just discuss the Parallel Universe). The thing to understand here was that, in many experiments, QUANTUM PHYSICS was found to be correct, but the scientists had no concrete evidence that could explain how and why it happened. How a particle can exists in two states at one time? Then, Hugh Everett presented his theory of the parallel universe to prove it.

Understanding The Base of Parallel Universe Theory

To understand the Parallel Universe properly we have to understand another scientist Erwin Schrodinger first. We can understand this by his famous CAT Story.

The Famous Schrodinger's Cat story

If a cat is locked in a box and a small box of poison is kept in that box. Then, can we be sure that the cat is alive or the cat is dead? Here Schrodinger wants to explain that without opening the box we cannot find the state of that cat. And as soon as we open the box we get one state from both of those states(alive or dead). If the cat came out alive then it was one of the two possibilities, which is now a fact and it may be also that even if the cat was dead, it would be one of the two possibilities. The cat cannot be both dead and alive simultaneously.

According to another scientist Werner Heisenberg who gave the Heisenberg Uncertainty principle, when we observe QUANTUM MATTER  then we affect the behavior of that matter. This means we cannot get the exact information of that Matter, we cannot find its exact position and its rotation speed at the same time, either we will get the position right or we will get the correct speed of its rotation. Another scientist Niels Bohr said that when we try to know whether the cat is alive or dead, then we affect the behavior of that knowing. In the context of Quantum Particle, When we try to know the exact information of the state, then we break the theory of its superposition as I already said that superposition is the principle in which a particle gives the impression of being in more than one state. This is a bit strange to understand, but he meant to say that as soon as we try to find out the state of the cat, then we choose one of the two possibilities and one possibility also affects the other possibility simply means that till both the states were 50-50. The cat can be alive and dead but when we choose one of the states then one state is 100% and the other is 0%. It means that When we affect one state then it affects the other state as well. Done it The story of the cat is presented in a slightly different way to explain the behavior of QUANTUM PARTICLES.

Hugh Everett, who presented the concept of a parallel universe, broadly accepted these theories, but he had a problem with what Niel Bohr said. He said that one of the two possibilities does not affect the other. Instead, both of those possibilities are true. He said that whenever there are any two possibilities of a particle, then both of them will be true, the only difference is that even if the cat is found alive in your Universe, then its second possibility is absolutely true that is the cat is dead and this other possibility is not the part of your Universe, it is part of your parallel running Universe. He believed that whenever there is more than one possibility of an event, then the universe breaks into those possibilities to make every possibility come true. A separate Universe is created for all the possibilities.

The Case if...

He believed that parallel universes are formed based on the possibilities of events in nature. Understanding this, a little more, if there ever comes a possibility in your life where you can die but you survive, then at the very same moment a new Universe would born, in which the possibility of your death becomes true in that other universe.
According to the theory of the parallel universe, you cannot contact or go to that other universe, because then two different possibilities will become one and in that case, the universe will not break into other possibilities, or the formation of parallel universes won't take place. Although this theory isn't proven yet because there is no such big experiment is done yet which could prove its truth.

    1. I was on life support and almost died in an accident. Does that mean I'm dead in a parallel universe?

  2. I disagree with the conclusion that "you cannot contact or go to that other universe, because then two different possibilities will become one and in that case the universe will not break into other possibilities or formation of parallel universes won't takes place." Why wouldn't your entering that parallel universe, itself, create a parallel universe where you DIDN'T enter the parallel universe? Wouldn't that itself be a split where two universes (or more based upon your interactions and the choices made as a consequence of your initial entry into that universe) are created so that both possibilities of your successful and unsuccessful entry were both true?
